A site coded for your business in Touraine

Website creation in Tours for shops and tradespeople

I design and code websites for shops, artisans, independent professionals and small companies in Tours and its metropolitan area, billed as a monthly plan. There are two plans, Essential at €1 at the order then €39 a month, and Visibility at €1 at the order then €79 a month, the second one adding four pages and four articles written every month. In both cases the site is unique, with no template and no WordPress, the domain name is in your name, the code is yours, and going live usually happens less than 48 hours after the order.

01

Why does a business in Tours need its own website?

A business in Tours needs its own website because the local competition is real and in good health. In its commerce policy document « Cultivons la ville attractive » published in 2025, the city counts 2,500 active shops, 900 of them in the centre, with a commercial vacancy rate of 6.36% that it places below comparable cities. In other words the shopfronts are taken, and a customer hesitating between two boutiques on rue Nationale or two tradesmen in Saint-Symphorien decides on what they find online, usually within seconds on their phone, before going anywhere.

People in Tours search by shopping hub rather than by district, because the city is organised around the centre and a set of neighbourhood commerce hubs spread across its quarters. They type « boulangerie Tours Nord », « garage Saint-Pierre-des-Corps » or « coiffeur Deux Lions », and residents of the surrounding communes add their commune's name, « plombier Joué-lès-Tours » or « électricien Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire ». A site that names those places in its titles and addresses answers those searches, while a listing on a paid directory mostly serves the directory, which shows your competitors right under your name.

I bill a monthly plan because a shop that just opened on rue des Halles or a tradesman setting up in La Riche has better things to do with several months of cash than pay for a website up front. With a website on a monthly subscription, you pay €1 at the order then a fixed monthly amount that covers hosting, backups, security monitoring, technical updates and your text and photo changes within forty eight working hours. There's no finance company and no lease contract, the site belongs to you, and the first year total is written at the top of the quote, which few cheap website offers state as clearly.

02

Which neighbourhoods of Tours and which communes of the metropolitan area do I cover?

I cover the whole of Tours, from the Vieux-Tours and place Plumereau to the Cathédrale quarter, from rue Nationale and rue de Bordeaux to avenue de Grammont, and the northern quarters around Saint-Symphorien, Paul Bert, Lamartine, Rabelais Tonnellé, Giraudeau, Les Fontaines and the Deux Lions south of the Cher. The Halles on place Gaston Paillhou, with their food merchants and artisans, remain the city's food centre, and the Quartier des Arts in the Vieux-Tours gathers craftspeople and makers the city supports with dedicated actions. Each of these areas has customers who search differently, and the site has to reflect that in its pages.

The communes of Tours Métropole are inside my area, Joué-lès-Tours, Chambray-lès-Tours, Saint-Avertin, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, La Riche, Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, Rochecorbon, Notre-Dame-d'Oé, Parçay-Meslay and Mettray. A company in Chambray that receives customers in the retail zone, or a tradesman in Saint-Avertin who drives across the whole metropolitan area, doesn't need the same home page or the same area pages, and I write them from your real journeys rather than from a list copied off another site. For a business that also works in the Loiret, the page on website creation in Orléans presents the same offer.

The trades I see most here are food trades, because Tours holds the label of international city of gastronomy and the Halles merchants sell fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, speciality breads, pastries, wine and fine groceries, but also the building tradesmen who renovate Touraine houses, the health professionals settled around the CHRU, which the city presents as the region's largest employer, and the businesses that live off students, hairdressers, restaurants, gyms, bike and phone repair shops. A site for a tradesman puts lead times and service areas first, a site for a food shop puts the menu, the opening hours and holiday orders first.

Take a maker from the Quartier des Arts in the Vieux-Tours who sells her pieces from her workshop and at the summer craft markets on place Châteauneuf and place du Grand Marché. Her site would have a home page with a photo of the workshop and one sentence on what she makes, a page per family of pieces with prices, a « custom orders » page explaining lead time and deposit, a « where to find me » page with the workshop address, market dates and the shops that stock her in Rochecorbon or Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, and a simple enquiry form. The online shop would come later, on a separate quote, once the site's traffic justifies it.

03

How do you get found on Google in Tours?

Getting found on Google in Tours rests on three things, a complete and current Google Business Profile, a site that answers local searches with a page per neighbourhood or per service, and reviews you reply to. On « restaurant Vieux-Tours », « plombier Tours Nord » or « fleuriste Joué-lès-Tours », Google shows the map with three addresses first, then the websites. The listing gets you onto the map, the site gets you chosen, and a customer who has seen both calls more often than one who has only seen the listing, because they already have their answers.

The Visibility plan adds four pages and four articles every month, written on keywords whose search volume I've checked, for example « rillettes de Tours livraison » for a charcutier or « rénovation maison tourangelle » for a builder, with the structured data and internal links that let Google, and also ChatGPT and Perplexity, cite your business when someone asks the question. I send you a monthly report of positions on local searches. The article on local SEO for a small business explains the criteria Google applies.

Tours has two passing audiences that search a lot online, the students who arrive every September and the visitors who fill the terraces of place Plumereau and place Châteauneuf, which the city names as the most popular spots in the historic centre. A business that depends on them should publish its seasonal pages before term starts and before summer, not during, and translate its main pages into English if foreign visitors matter to it, which I quote alongside the plan. Searches for « open on Sunday » and « near me » are frequent on Saturdays and Sundays, and the Google listing needs exact opening hours to answer them.

04

How does building your website in Tours work?

It all starts with a conversation by video or in person in Tours, about an hour, where I ask simple questions, what you sell, to whom, in which area, and what your customers ask most often at the counter or on the phone. Those answers become the site structure and the raw material for the texts, which I write myself. Then I design and code the site for your business, with no bought template and no WordPress, and there's no tool for you to learn, you send me your photos and prices by email or WhatsApp.

A complete first version is delivered for review, and you look at it on your phone first, since that's where your customers will see it. You tell me what's wrong, I fix it, then before going live the site passes a speed, accessibility and technical SEO check whose result I show you. The domain name is registered in your name, the source code belongs to you from day one, and the full export of the site is handed over within fifteen days if you ask for it, free of charge, even during the commitment.

Count less than 48 hours between the order and going live, with the review being the step that takes the most time on your side. Every month after that, I keep the site online, backed up daily and monitored, I apply technical updates and I deliver your changes within forty eight working hours, with a report on visits and uptime. The commitment lasts twelve months, then you leave whenever you want with one month's notice, and both plans are detailed on the website creation pricing page.

06 The price

Why this price does not lower the quality

The price comes from how the site is built and maintained, not from a sacrifice on the design or the code.

01

A site designed and coded, not a template

No purchased theme, no page builder. The layout, the copy and the code are written for your business, after research on what your competitors do and on what your customers type into Google. Two clients never receive the same site.

02

Performance and security are measured

Before going live, every site passes a check on speed, accessibility and technical SEO, and it does not ship until the score is where it should be. A fast, clean site costs less to host and maintain, and that saving is in the price.

03

Automation pays the difference

Hosting, backups, monitoring and the monthly report are automated, and I have spent sixteen years building this kind of tooling. Human time goes to the design, the copy and your change requests, not to the repetitive tasks others bill you for every month.

04

No financing, no hidden clause

You pay €1 or €1 at the order, then a monthly plan for twelve months, with no credit company and no lease contract. The first year total sits at the top of the quote, and the domain and the code stay yours, with an export of the site within 15 days on request.

Questions about website creation in Tours

What's the price of website creation in Tours?

The Essential plan costs €1 at the order then €39 a month, which makes €469 excluding tax for the first year, everything included. The Visibility plan costs €1 at the order then €79 a month, which makes €949 excluding tax for the first year, with four pages and four articles written every month. There are no hidden fees, and the first year total sits at the top of the quote.

What exactly does the monthly plan include?

The plan includes the site coded for your business, hosting, daily backups, security monitoring, technical fixes and updates, your text and image changes delivered within forty eight working hours, and a monthly report on traffic and uptime. The Visibility plan adds the monthly pages and articles, the Google listing, structured data and a report on local positions.

Can a tradesman in Joué-lès-Tours or Saint-Avertin order a site?

Yes, I work with businesses across the whole metropolitan area, Joué-lès-Tours, Chambray-lès-Tours, Saint-Avertin, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, La Riche, Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire and the other communes. The site states the communes you cover, with a dedicated page when an area matters a lot to you, and the Google listing is set to the same perimeter so that both say the same thing.

Can I edit the website myself?

You don't need to, and that's deliberate. You email me the new text, the new photo or the new price, and I deliver the change within forty eight working hours, included in the plan. So there's no admin tool to learn, no risk of breaking a page, and the site stays fast because nobody adds plugins to it over the months.

How long does website creation in Tours take?

Less than 48 hours in general, between the order and going live. I deliver a complete version to review, you send back your corrections, I adjust, then the site passes a speed, accessibility and technical SEO check before being published. The timing depends mostly on how long you take to review and to send me your photos and prices.

What happens to the site after the twelve month commitment?

After twelve months the plan continues at the same price and you can cancel any month with one month's notice. The site already belongs to you, with the domain name in your name and the source code, so if you leave I hand over the full export within fifteen days, free of charge, and you can host it elsewhere without rewriting anything.

08 Compare before you sign

A site coded for you, at the price of a kit site

  • 01 The code and the domain name are yours from day one, with an export of the site within 15 days
  • 02 No WordPress and no page builder, every page is designed and written for your business
  • 03 Speed, accessibility and technical SEO are measured before the site goes live

Among the French offers under 100 € a month we reviewed in August 2026, none displayed these three commitments together.
