Websites on a monthly plan for Le Havre businesses

Le Havre website creation for local businesses

I design and code websites for tradespeople, shops and small companies in Le Havre, sold as a monthly plan rather than a lump sum quote. The Essential plan costs €1 at the order, then €39 a month, and it includes hosting, daily backups, security monitoring and every text or image change you send me. The Visibility plan costs €1 at the order, then €79 a month, and adds pages and articles every month so that people in Le Havre find you on Google. The domain name and the source code belong to you from day one, and the site goes live less than 48 hours after the order.

01

Why does a Le Havre business need its own website?

A business in Le Havre needs its own website because its customers search on a phone first, typing the trade and then the city or the district, "plumber Sanvic", "garage Montivilliers" or "restaurant Saint-François". Le Havre had 166,687 inhabitants at the 2023 census according to INSEE, between the rebuilt lower town and the upper town on the plateau, and that geography shapes every search. Someone living in Bléville would rather call a tiler ten minutes away than one in Gonfreville-l'Orcher, and Google ranks accordingly. Without a page that states where you are and where you work, you only show up for the vaguest queries, the ones the national chains at Docks Vauban already own.

A listing in a directory or a page on a social network doesn't replace a website, because you don't decide the display order, the competitors shown next to you, or what stays visible when the platform changes its rules. On your own site, the home page says in one sentence what you do and for whom, the contact page puts the phone number at the top, and every service has its own page, which lets Google suggest you for precise queries. A haulage or logistics company working near the port needs to explain its areas, hours and terms far better than a social profile allows.

I sell this site as a monthly plan rather than a single quote because a site nobody updates loses its rankings and ends up giving a poor image of the business. You write to me when a price changes, when a job is finished or when someone joins the team, and the change is online within two working days. Daily backups, security monitoring and the monthly traffic report run without you thinking about them. The page about the website on a monthly subscription explains what the price covers and what is quoted separately.

02

Which districts of Le Havre and which nearby towns do I cover?

I work with businesses across the whole of Le Havre, from the lower town, with the centre rebuilt by Perret and the Notre-Dame, Perrey and Saint-François districts, up to the upper town, with Sanvic, Bléville, Rouelles, Sainte-Cécile, Dollemard and the large estates of Caucriauville and Mont-Gaillard. The neighbouring towns are covered the same way, Sainte-Adresse, Octeville-sur-Mer, Montivilliers, Harfleur, Gonfreville-l'Orcher and Fontaine-la-Mallet, along with the rest of Le Havre Seine Métropole out to Saint-Romain-de-Colbosc, Criquetot-l'Esneval and Étretat. A firm in Sanvic, a former commune now attached to Le Havre, doesn't serve the same customers as a shop on the Perrey seafront, and the site should say so on its first page.

The trades I meet in Le Havre are those of a port city and of a rebuilt city. According to INSEE, at the end of 2024 close to three quarters of the establishments in Le Havre were in commerce, transport and services, and building firms remain present in every district and in the towns of the metropolitan area. In practice that means hauliers and logistics companies set up around the leading French container port, restaurants in the Saint-François district, building tradespeople who maintain the brick buildings of Danton and Graville as well as the houses of Bléville, and neighbourhood shops in every district of the upper town. Each of these trades needs different pages, and I write them with you.

Take a roofer based in Bléville as an example. His site would have a home page announcing the trade and the service area, one page per service, roof repairs, zinc work, moss removal, loft insulation, then one page for each area served, the Le Havre upper town, Montivilliers, Octeville-sur-Mer and Sainte-Adresse, each with photos of real jobs done there. We add a page explaining how a quote works, a customer reviews page, and a company page with the address, the opening hours and a phone number that can be tapped from a mobile. That structure is what lets the site show up for "roofer Le Havre" and for "roofer Montivilliers" with two different pages.

The same logic applies to a restaurant in Saint-François, where the site shows the menu, the hours, phone bookings and how to get there from the centre, or to a transport company in Gonfreville-l'Orcher that needs one page per type of service and a rate request form. If your business reaches beyond the Seine estuary, I also build sites for companies in Caen and I can plan one page per city from the start, which costs less than adding those pages later outside the plan. The page about website creation in Caen describes what I do on the other side of the estuary.

03

How do you get found on Google in Le Havre?

Getting found on Google in Le Havre requires a site organised by service and by area, and a Google Business Profile that says the same thing as the site. The words people in Le Havre type are simple, the trade followed by "Le Havre", sometimes by the district for the upper town, sometimes by the neighbouring town, "electrician Montivilliers" or "garage Harfleur". For those queries Google shows a map with three businesses first, then the classic results, and you need to be in both places to catch the demand. A page that answers the exact question asked, with the area named in its title, outranks a general page, even one from an older company.

The Google Business Profile is what appears on the map, with the address, hours, photos and reviews. For a tradesperson who travels across the whole urban area, the profile must declare a service area covering Le Havre and the towns of Le Havre Seine Métropole, not a single address in Sanvic. On the Visibility plan I keep that profile current every month, I check the categories and photos, and I link it to the pages of the site so that Google understands both describe the same business. I wrote an article on local SEO for a small business that walks through this step by step.

The Visibility plan adds four pages and four articles every month, written on verified keywords, for instance a "chimney sweeping Le Havre" page or an article on maintaining a roof exposed to the coastal wind, with the structured data and internal links that help Google and AI search engines such as ChatGPT or Perplexity cite your business. You receive a monthly report with your positions on local queries, so you can see which pages bring calls. The difference between the two plans is €40 a month, and the Visibility plan comes to €949 excluding tax for the first year against €469 for Essential.

04

How does the website project run for a Le Havre business?

The project starts with a conversation of about an hour, in person in Le Havre if you prefer to meet, or on a video call from Paris or Montreux, where I'm based. You describe your business, your customers, your areas and what makes you different from your competitors, then you send me your photos, your prices and your texts if they exist. I use no purchased template and no page builder, the site is designed and coded for you, and no two clients ever get the same site. That way of working comes from more than sixteen years of code and from OceanWP, a WordPress theme I created that passed five hundred thousand installs.

A complete first version is delivered for review, with every page, text and image in place, not an empty mockup you have to imagine. You note what bothers you, a wording, a photo, the order of the pages, and I correct it until you approve. Before going live, the site passes a check on speed, accessibility and technical SEO, because a slow site on a phone in the bus between Sanvic and the centre loses its visitors before the first page even appears. You approve, and the site goes live on your domain name.

The site is live less than 48 hours after the order, depending on how fast you review. The domain name is registered in your name, the code belongs to you from day one, and you can ask for a full export of the site, free, delivered within fifteen days, even during the twelve month commitment. After that you write to me for every text or image change, it's delivered within two working days, and you receive a monthly report on traffic and uptime. The full pricing and what it includes is detailed on the pricing page, with the first year total at the top, as on every quote.

06 The price

Why this price does not lower the quality

The price comes from how the site is built and maintained, not from a sacrifice on the design or the code.

01

A site designed and coded, not a template

No purchased theme, no page builder. The layout, the copy and the code are written for your business, after research on what your competitors do and on what your customers type into Google. Two clients never receive the same site.

02

Performance and security are measured

Before going live, every site passes a check on speed, accessibility and technical SEO, and it does not ship until the score is where it should be. A fast, clean site costs less to host and maintain, and that saving is in the price.

03

Automation pays the difference

Hosting, backups, monitoring and the monthly report are automated, and I have spent sixteen years building this kind of tooling. Human time goes to the design, the copy and your change requests, not to the repetitive tasks others bill you for every month.

04

No financing, no hidden clause

You pay €1 or €1 at the order, then a monthly plan for twelve months, with no credit company and no lease contract. The first year total sits at the top of the quote, and the domain and the code stay yours, with an export of the site within 15 days on request.

Frequently asked questions about website creation in Le Havre

How much does website creation in Le Havre cost?

The Essential plan costs €1 at the order, then €39 a month excluding tax, which is €469 for the first year, with the site, hosting, backups, security and your changes included. The Visibility plan costs €1 at the order, then €79 a month, which is €949 for the first year, with the monthly pages, articles and Google profile upkeep on top. That first year total sits at the top of every quote, with no financing company and no lease.

How long does website creation in Le Havre take?

Count less than 48 hours between the order and the launch, covering the initial conversation, the complete first version, your feedback and the checks on speed, accessibility and technical SEO. The timing depends mostly on how quickly you review and send me your photos and texts. A business that answers within the day goes live much faster than one that lets a week pass between two rounds of review.

Who owns the website and the domain name?

The site and the domain name are yours. The domain is registered in your name and the code belongs to you from day one, which isn't the case with every subscription provider, where the site is sometimes handed over only at the end of the commitment. You can ask for a full export, free, delivered within fifteen days, even during the first twelve months, and after that the plan can be cancelled any month with one month's notice.

How are text and photo changes handled after launch?

You email me the change, a new price, a photo from a job, new opening hours, and it's online within two working days on both plans. There is no admin tool to learn and no update to run on your side, the hosting, daily backups and security monitoring run automatically, and that automation is what makes the price possible.

How can a Le Havre business get an affordable website without a template?

The price comes from automating the hosting, the backups, the monitoring and the monthly report, not from reusing a template from one client to the next. Every site is designed and coded for a single business, without WordPress or a page builder, which makes it faster and easier to change later. On the page about the affordable website I explain how this price compares with WordPress subscriptions and site rental offers.

Which plan suits a tradesperson or a shop in Le Havre?

The Essential plan suits a business that is already known and wants a clean and current site that loads fast. The Visibility plan suits one that wants new customers from Google, for instance a tradesperson working from Montivilliers to Harfleur who needs one page per town and a maintained Google profile. In both cases an online shop or a booking system are quoted separately, and an extra page on Essential gets a small quote.

08 Compare before you sign

A site coded for you, at the price of a kit site

  • 01 The code and the domain name are yours from day one, with an export of the site within 15 days
  • 02 No WordPress and no page builder, every page is designed and written for your business
  • 03 Speed, accessibility and technical SEO are measured before the site goes live

Among the French offers under 100 € a month we reviewed in August 2026, none displayed these three commitments together.
